An “amazing, kind and compassionate” team at a Sanctuary Care home in Dundee are beaming with pride following their glowing Care Inspectorate (CI) report.
Bridge View House Care Home has received ‘Very Good’ ratings for how well the team supports residents’ wellbeing, the leadership, the quality of the staffing team and how well care and support is planned in its latest CI report following an unannounced inspection. The home also received a ‘Good’ for the quality of the setting.
Residents and their loved ones had high praise indeed, with comments including:

Their compassion extends beyond the residents to their families, and that kindness has meant a great deal to me.
Another relative explained:
It gives me great peace of mind knowing she is not only well cared for physically, but that her emotional wellbeing and happiness are just as important.
Another stand-out area noted in the report was the wide range of meaningful experiences the residents enjoyed, which it said; “contributed positively to people’s social wellbeing”, helping to “promote independence” and “support people to lead fulfilling lives”.
Inspectors also highlighted how the team were focused on finding out who their residents are as individuals, knowing about their life histories, relationships, interests and what was important to them, which resulted in care that helped residents to “maintain their identity” and “achieve outcomes that were important to them” as individuals.
Comments from inspectors noted the excellent quality of the home-cooked food, which was described as “amazing”, the “excellent” management team and communication, as well as the very low staff turnover, which led to “continuity of care” and “meaningful relationships” between the team and their residents.
The not-for-profit Sanctuary Care Home Manager Jade Wilson said:
We're absolutely delighted with this report and incredibly proud of what it says about our team.
“What means the most to us is hearing how residents and their families feel about life at Bridge View House. Comments about our team being kind, compassionate and genuinely caring reflect exactly the culture we've worked hard to build here.
“Every member of the team takes the time to get to know residents as individuals, understanding what matters to them and supporting them to live fulfilling lives.
I'm grateful to our residents and their loved ones for their kind feedback, and to our dedicated team, whose commitment and compassion shine through in everything they do.
